Monotypes are one-of-a-kind prints. They are created by applying ink to a flat plate, then running the plate through a printing press. The plate can be reworked and printed again by adding more ink, but each print is uniquely different. I enjoy the monotype process for its spontaneity and the rich color of oil-based inks.
